Band Rehearsals Begin Next Week!

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that the extra-curricular band rehearsal schedule begins next week.  Please refer to the band newsletter or the the September 1st blog post to review the schedule.  Students are asked to arrive by 7:35 a.m. on early morning band days in order to be prepared to begin rehearsing with the full band at 7:45 a.m.

All band students will be taking home a Stonepark Instrument Inventory sheet this week to be completed and signed.  I’d appreciate it if these forms could be completed and handed in as quickly as possible.  Thank you!
 
Grade 7 band students who have not yet been assigned instruments (i.e., did not attend the ESD band camp) are asked to please meet Mrs. Peters in the band room on Thursday (September 8 ) at 12:35.
 
 

2011-2012 Band Rehearsal Schedule

Welcome to all of the new grade 7 band students and welcome back to all returning students!  It was great to see so many of you at the Eastern School District Band Camp and I am looking forward to another great year of music-making at Stonepark.

The extra-curricular band rehearsal schedule outlined below will begin on Monday, September 19th.

Mondays:  Grade 8 Early Morning Band Rehearsal (*7:45-8:35 a.m.)

 Tuesdays:   Grade 7 Band Rehearsal (12:25-1:15 p.m.)

 Wednesdays:  Grade 9 Early Morning Band Rehearsal (*7:45-8:35 a.m.)

 Thursdays:  Jazz Band Rehearsal (3:10-4:10 p.m.)

 Fridays from November-January:  Grade 9 Honours Band Rehearsals (*7:45-8:35 a.m.) 

 Fridays from February-June:  Grade 9 Band (*7:45-8:35 a.m.) 

*Students must arrive at Stonepark by 7:35 a.m. in order to be seated, set-up and ready to play when rehearsal begins at 7:45 a.m..
