Grade 9 Band Rehearsal will be held on Thursday morning (7:45-8:35) for this week only.

There will be an Honours Band rehearsal on Thursday from 12:30-1:15 p.m..

The parents meeting for the band and strings trip to the Atlantic Festival of Music will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the band room.

This evening’s Honours Band activities at Queen Charlotte have been canceled due to the early school closure.

Updates and details regarding the schedule for Saturday and Sunday will be posted on the East Wiltshire Band website.

The Honours Band organizing committee executive will be having a conference call today at 3:00 p.m to discuss the weekend weather forecast.

The P.E.I. Intermediate Grade 9 Honours Band will be rehearsing and performing this weekend in Charlottetown.  This year we have nineteen Stonepark representatives in the band.   They will be performing a concert on Sunday, January 29th at 3:00 at Confederation Centre in cooperation with the UPEI Wind Symphony.  Tickets are available from the Honours Band students and at the door.  Hope to see you at the concert!

Please note that the Queen’s County Music Festival will be held from April 23-May 4 this year.  I just wanted to let you know this so that conflicts with the band trip to the Atlantic Festival of Music (May 3rd and 4th) can hopefully be avoided.

Due to exams, the February 1st PD Day, and the Grade 9 French Immersion trip, I have rescheduled some upcoming grade 9 band rehearsals.

Students are asked to please provide a note or have parents send me an e-mail if they are unable to attend a band rehearsal.

The Charlottetown Rural Jazz Ensembles will present a concert tonight at 7 p.m. in the C.R.H.S. cafeteria.   The jazz studies class will perform as a big band and the concert will also feature 3 smaller ensembles.
